Part One:
Search Engine Optimization is also referred to as “SEO”. The purpose of SEO is to maximize your websites content, as well as general information, to make certain that your site (i.e.: web property) can easily be found on search engines, like Google, Yahoo and Bing. SEO works by finding certain keyword phrases or conversational questions that individuals enter when searching and by matching those phrases with the products or services you offer.
Google rates pages in regards to web page rank, search term competitiveness and the available content on the web (as indexed and archived by its Googlebot scans). Typically, pages with higher web page rankings have superior web traffic flow, more incidents of social interaction and several authority backlinks which provide link juice to the overall website domain. Your search terms, the level of competition for those terms, and how well the competition’s web properties are optimized will determine how great a challenge it will be for your SEO initiatives in gaining that “page one ranking” for your site . . . and ultimately gaining you more customers.
